At the 21st edition of the IEEE European Control Conference held in Bucharest (June 12–16, 2023) with more than 450 participants from around the world, various scientific activities were organized by Ionela Prodan and her collaborators.

 

Chair and co-organizer of the special session “Women in Control”:
A networking opportunity for women, the aim being to provide new perspectives on the current role of control engineering, science, industry, women with personal stories, reports, programs, and opportunities on gender.

Co-organizer of a one-day Workshop “Guidance, navigation and control strategies for small-scale robotic platforms” (with Dr. Sylvain Bertrand from ONERA, France and Prof. Florin Stoican, UPB, Romania).

 

Co-organizer of the invited session “Robust and Safe Model Predictive Control for Critical Systems and Applications” (with Dr. Sylvain Bertrand from ONERA, France).

Co-organizer of the invited session “Safe Guidance, Navigation and Control in Indoor Environment Via Receding Horizon Strategies” (with Prof. Florin Stoican, UPB, Romania).

Co-organizer of the Tutorial “State of the Art and New Trends in Explicit MPC”, with a presentation on “On the Implementation of an Explicit MPC Via Flat Mapping for a Multicopter System” with Florin Stoican (Politehnica University of Bucharest), Martin Mönnigmann (Ruhr-Universität Bochum), Sorin Olaru (CentraleSupélec), Mircea Lazar (Eindhoven University of Technology).
