New member

Mouad Rabiai

Welcome to Mouad Rabiai, the new PhD student of the CTSYS team since November 1st, 2025.
He is supervised by Vincent BEROULLE.
His office is in Building D, 1st floor, D110.

Can you introduce yourself briefly?

I am Mouad and I am 22 years old. I am starting a thesis on the securitization of RISC-V architecture against laser injection attacks.

What is your background (education, experience...)?

I hold an engineering degree with a specialization in embedded systems from Bordeaux INP, and I completed my internship at CEA-LETI in Grenoble for my final year of studies.

Can you briefly explain your thesis topic?

My thesis is part of the TWINSEC project and lies at the intersection of electronics and cybersecurity. It consists of two main parts:
- The first part focuses on refining the emission chain used for attacks,
- The second aims to develop processor-level defense mechanisms.
The work concentrates on material design and FPGA implementation, utilizing skills in RTL description, RISC-V architectures, as well as cryptography and hardware security.

Do you want to share anything else of particular interest?

Outside of work, I enjoy playing football and reading.
