Welcome to Louis Duvivier, the new Associate Professor in the CO4SYS team who will arrive the 1st of October 2024
His office is in the D building, 2nd floor, D221

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Louis Duviver, I studied theoretical computer science at ENS Lyon and the University of Pisa.

Can you briefly explain your thesis topic?

I wrote my Ph.D. thesis on statistical model selection for graph models at INSA Lyon, supervised by Céline Robardet and Rémy Cazabet.

What is the research project that you defended to join the laboratory?

Regarding my research project, it's about identifying the existing links between the properties of complex systems composed of a large number of interacting elements and the structure of these interactions. On one hand, I studied existing systems and identified characteristic structures, and on the other hand, I designed interaction protocols for artificial systems (collaborative robot fleets) intended to accomplish defined tasks. So far, my work has mainly focused on the first aspect, proposing models for existing networks and selecting the most suitable one based on rigorous statistical bases that allow for an interpretation of the selected model.
