New fun seminar 06/06: "3D rendering on a 2D screen: but how?" by Sébastien Michelland

We're pleased to announce, along with Louis Morge-Rollet and many helpers, a new lighthearted seminar called "What the Cup?!" that'll take place alongside the Coffee Break! This will be a chill event to talk about cultural topics, history, oddities, research tips & tricks, to complement all the science we do in the Speech Pizza.

The first session of What the Cup?! will be on Friday 6th at 16:00. We'll try to have our setup in the main room of Building D 2nd floor, so that we do a 20-minute talk and then have our Coffee Break as usual.

The talk will be "3D rendering on a 2D screen: but how?" where I'll explain how games and simulations can show a convincing 3D environment through a very much non-3D flat display. There'll be some geometry and (hopefully) a live demo. If you're curious, come and drop by!
