Denis Dochain - Emeritus Professor 2021-2024 - CO4SYS Team

Previously, he was a Professor at the Catholic University of Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium and Honorary Research Director of the FNRS (National Scientific Research Fund). His areas of interest primarily focus on modeling, analysis, design, monitoring, and control of reactive systems.

On October 1st, 2021, Denis DOCHAIN will join the LCIS laboratory and ESISAR as Professor Emeritus.

This central theme includes, in particular, distributed parameter systems, nonlinear systems, state and parameter estimation, adaptive control methods, and extremum seeking type methods. These knowledge can be applied to microbial ecology, bioprocesses, chemical processes, paper and pulp manufacturing processes, polymerization reactors, environmental systems, and electrical systems.

Many of you already know Denis, as he was a visiting professor at LCIS-ESISAR from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Grenoble INP and in 2021, he was appointed Professor Emeritus for the period 2021-2024.
