Welcome to Arthur Silva Souza, ORSYS new PhD student since the 25th of January 2025.
He is under the guidance of Etienne PERRET.

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
I am Arthur Silva Souza, a Brazilian born in Campina Grande, Paraíba, currently pursuing a PhD in Valence, France, at LCIS Laboratory in collaboration with Idyllic Technologies.
What is your background (education, experience, etc.)?
I hold a Bachelor’s degree (2021) and a Master’s degree (2023) in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Between 2018 and 2019, I participated in the BRAFITEC Exchange Program at ESISAR – Grenoble INP, specializing in Embedded Systems Electronics. My background spans Microelectronics, Radiofrequency systems, and sensor design, with applications in energy and industrial systems.
Can you briefly explain your thesis topic?
My doctoral research focuses on the development of a short impulse generator and sampler for ultra-wideband (UWB) short-range radar applications.
What skills can you share?
I have experience in Microelectronics, RF systems, and sensor design. I am proficient in programming (C, C++, MATLAB, Python), electromagnetic simulation tools (ADS, Ansoft Designer), PCB design, and hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL). I also have experience with integrated circuit design and simulation.
